What it’s all about…

I am never more at home, never more at peace
than when I am outside walking with nature.

This portfolio celebrates the colors and textures of my world:
the world of fields, ponds, marshes, creeks, and forests.

All photos are taken within 50 miles of my home in
western New York State in October and November of 2009.

I shoot with a Canon Rebel XT and a variety of lenses.

There was an early snow storm in mid October.
Other days were classic autumn days with full sun and blue skies;
still others were windy and rainy.
I tried to go out in every kind of weather and light.

Perhaps these photos will help you come around to my philosophy:
A house is just a place to keep your stuff.
You should get outside more!
